In addition to our annual achievement awards, we have a number of light-hearted awards that we also give out at the end of each year. These are in recognition of some members’ extraordinary feats or antics during the year.

This year the following awards were handed out:

Overseas Service Award

Belogiannis Family

During the year, the Belogiannis family spent 5 weeks in the Greek Isles. Mr Belogiannis is our Treasurer. Just how is all that money being used?

Military Service Award

Nathan Lissing

Nathan joined the Royal Australian Army during 2000 and spent many weeks in training.

Miraculous Recovery Award

Keith Camage

At the beginning of this year Keith suffered a life threatening heart condition and most thought he would not make it through. However, in true fighting style Keith made a miraculous recovery and made a great contribution to the Squadron this year.

The Annual BB Zoom Top Award

Danny Lam

The BB Zoom Top Award has been a tradition in Riverwood Squadron for many years now. It is awarded to the most zany character in the Squadron that year.

In conclusion, all members of the Squadron received a plaque celebrating our achievement as NSW Boys’ Group Squadron of the Year 2000.
